Let me introduce myself

I am a 50-year-old women’s health and wellness coach who focuses on working with women over 40 to discover newfound strength and energy as they pursue a healthier lifestyle, shed excess body fat, and navigate through menopause like a boss!

With over 21 years of extensive experience as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist, I have been featured in Strong Fitness Magazine, D'Fyne Fitness Magazine, Fit Figures Magazine, Muscle and Health World Magazine, Health Magazine, and Shape Magazine.

I am an advisory board member for Strong Fitness Magazine and a freelance writer for several health and wellness publications.  In addition, I lend my voice as an empowerment speaker, speaking on national and international stages.

Where it all started

Growing up, I was not an athlete and did not play sports.  I consistently ate and drank alcohol through most of my 20s, ballooning to over 200 bs., staying there for roughly nine years.  I was tired of playing small and consuming food and beverages in an unhealthy way; I decided it was finally time to hold myself accountable by committing to losing unhealthy way, I decided it was finally time to hold myself accountable by committing to losing excess weight the RIGHT way.

What allows me to relate to many women who are just starting or resetting their health journey is I know what it was like to start at the VERY beginning.  I realized that my weight didn't magically appear overnight, and I was willing to follow healthy and sustainable steps to regain my health.

WHY Train with me?

Not only am I a seasoned fitness professional with over 21 years of experience, I lead by example. The pillars of my training program are the elements that shape my life and allow me to show other women that our health and fitness goals are within our reach.

While many fitness professionals were conditioned to be physically active by playing sports at a young age, I did not have that advantage. I remember what it was like to start at the beginning of my health journey as an adult. I remember being obese and in despair, wanting to change and unsure where to start. You NEED someone who understands what it's personally like to be at the beginning of this journey. 

As a perimenopausal woman entering her 50s, I've known the importance of combining updated strength training programs with the most appropriate approaches to nutrition that result in optimal body results.   We cannot rely on cookie-cutter approaches to weight loss and a healthier body. We are dealing with hormonal imbalances as we age. Therefore, we need a customized system for weight loss and muscle building that older bodies can respond to.

I worked with Adriana from 2015-2019 after getting into a car accident. My back was injured in the accident, and I knew that I needed help getting back strength and stability. I worked with Adriana to regain that strength, and to build those muscles equally. She really focused on proper form and taught me so much along the way. I continued to work with Adriana to get into the best shape of my life! She taught me that weight training is truly the best form of exercise, but it is critical to do it right, hence working with a trainer! Adriana pushed me to do pull-ups, which made me feel so empowered! I got pregnant a few years later, and knew that I didn't want to lose all of my gains just because I was having a baby - I need to be strong for my baby girl, and for the process of giving birth! Adriana is pre and post-natal certified, and has 4 children of her own, so I knew that I was in good hands! She really tailored the workouts and homework for the various stages of pregnancy. I'm happy to announce that I only gained 20 lbs during pregnancy and lost all of my baby weight at 7 weeks postpartum, with no dieting required! I just got cleared to workout again by my doctor, and am working with Adriana again to strengthen my abs and all other muscles that are necessary to keep my body happy and healthy as I take care of my baby girl.  I learned that a post-pregnancy body can be just as strong and fit as before!
