About me

Who is Adriana Morrison?

Growing up, I was not an athlete.  I ate and drank my way through college, topping 205 pounds upon receiving my Master's Degree in Counselor Education.  I was not taking care of myself.  I was miserable. I found myself in the center of my life's own crossroads.

One Sunday morning, in July 2001, I woke up and decided I had enough of my own sabotages.  I hired a personal trainer for a short time, committed myself to going to the gym (as intimidating as it was for me back then), and began to completely overhaul my nutritional intake, all the while committing to the process and putting my feelings aside.

Eight months later, I lost over 50 lbs and never looked back.  I became a group fitness instructor in Spring 2002, stepped into the fitness world, and became a personal trainer when I was pregnant with my 4th child.

Along the way, I delved into the bodybuilding world, winning/placing in the top 5 of all NPC Figure competitions I entered in my 30s and 40s in Tennessee and Colorado, including winning Overall Figure in Nashville, TN and twice nationally qualifying to compete for the coveted NPC Figure Pro Card.  These days you will find me competing in half marathons and Spartan races (Obstacle Course Race) earning my Trifecta for 2018 as well as 2019 at age 46.

My love for fitness has allowed me the opportunity to work with clients near and far, in person or online.   Like so many people beginning their fitness journey, I know what it's like to start the process in it's infancy.  Starting a new fitness journey can feel intimidating, but it doesn't have to be.  All it requires is your commitment to the steps to become healthy.  Along the way, I will teach you what it means to put yourself first, which will then allow you to uplevel all areas of your life.

"I have been working with Adriana since 2015 after getting into a car accident. My back was injured in the accident, and I knew that I needed help getting back strength and stability. I worked with Adriana to regain that strength, and to build those muscles equally. She really focused on proper form and taught me so much along the way. I continued to work with Adriana to get into the best shape of my life! She taught me that weight training is truly the best form of exercise, but it is critical to do it right, hence working with a trainer! Adriana pushed me to do pull-ups, which made me feel so empowered! I got pregnant a few years later, and knew that I didn't want to lose all of my gains just because I was having a baby - I need to be strong for my baby girl, and for the process of giving birth!
